These two pictures were done for my life drawing class at my old school. The first is pastel and charcoal, the second charcoal and white pencil; both on tinted charcoal paper.

This one was a final for the portrait class I took, also at my previous college. I used pastel and some colored pencil, again on tinted charcoal paper.

These two are both drawings that I did for fun on my own free time. They were both done digitally on Paint Tool SAI using a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.

  1. I love your work! You're really good at drawing people. I like the first piece. It looks like a quick drawing, but at the same time it looks like you took your time developing it. You did an incredible job with shading and highlighting with your first two pieces. I've heard about Paint Tool SAI and Wacom Intuos4 tablet, but haven't really looked more into them since I don't know where to start. However, it's something I'm definitely interested in learning more about since digital art really appeals to me.

  2. It's really fascinating to see such incredible skill and talent behind the more free, casual style of your digital drawings. It's also refreshing to see a cartoonist with a real concept of the human form and how it works. I liked looking at all of your work together, because I would never have guessed that it was all done by the same person, and it's really cool.

  3. I am seriously so impressed by these! You have a great deal of talent! The pastel face portrait is so unbelievably realistic. I have been wanting to take a still life class and seeing your work has definitely encouraged and motivated me more. I am looking forward to see what you come up with this semester. Great work!

  4. You have mad skills. :) Many people find pastel intimidating; you've pretty much mastered it. The color values changes in the skin tones are superb. It is really fun to see how your work can vary from realism to very simple two demensional figures. You would be an awesome illustrator.
